HOLKER HALL & GARDENS, home of Lord and Lady Cavendish, plays host to our first Cumbrian plant fair of 2017 on Easter Sunday 16 April.
I’m delighted to say that we shall be holding two plant fairs at Holker Hall again this season, the first one being on 16 April and the second on the August Bank Holiday (27 August). However I am sad to hear that they will no longer be holding their very popular Holker Hall Garden Festival any more.
We had a brilliant plant fair here last April and I hope you will again be tempted to come along and see what treasures are on sale for you this year. Tinnisburn Plants pops over the Scottish border to join us so you can be assured her plants will survive in your gardens and I’m delighted to confirm that Helen will be with us for both the fairs in 2017 as will Northern Ark Nursery’s organically grown plants from Northumberland.
The April fair is shaping up very nicely with 13 plant specialists attending so please don’t forget to bring cash as few small growers have credit/debit facilities.
We open earlier than usual – 10.30am – and will be running alongside their popular Producer’s Market which offers quality Cumbrian food and drink. Admission to the plant fair and Market is free.
Normal garden and Hall admission applies.
