SUTTON PARK – BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY 29 MAY 2017

Sutton Park, in the beautiful village of Sutton on the Forest, is just outside the York ring road on the road up to Helmsley.  The house and gardens are owned by the Sheffield family and it remains very much a family home.  Over the past two years the family have decided to spend more time at their home here and so the gardens are not open quite as much as they used to be.  The house is no longer open except for a short time in the summer (see their own website for further details).

A change of Bank Holiday weekends for 2017, with Sutton Park taking the late May Bank Holiday Monday and offering you a chance to wander around the gardens at a different time of the month.  So much more to see with May about to burst into June!

We always have a fantastic collection of plant nurseries attending the fair as you would expect at Sutton.

DON’T FORGET TO BRING CASH WITH YOU as most of the stands are small businesses and can’t afford card facilities.  Nothing worse than seeing a plant or tree you want and not having enough money.  You could, if you still have them, bring your cheque book too!

Admission to gardens, grounds and plant fair £3.50.  Children free.  No dogs in the gardens please but you are welcome to walk them in the vast car park field.  See you there!
