We’re holding two plant fairs at the lovely Sandon Hall this year with the first one on Sunday 7 April.
The delightful 25 acre garden of Sandon Hall welcomes Flower Power Fairs back again and as usual we shall have a full compliment of outstanding plant growers and specialists attending.
You will have a huge selection of plants on sale here from small alpines to the big boys of the herbaceous border and everything in-between. Amongst the plant specialists attending with LBJ Nurseries, Linda Scott Hardy Plants, Penmere Plants, Ruth Hall, Seeds To Sow, Ribbesdale Nurseries. Plantazia, Hempholme Plant Nursery, The Herb Nursery, Stannard Plants, Bright & Beautiful, North Staffordshire Hostas and Shade Lovers and Morton Nurseries.
The gardens extend to over 25 acres, planted mainly with specimen rhododendrons and azaleas, but over the past three years an impressive amount of work has been undertaken on the Sunken Garden and the rose beds. Hopefully we should also be able to see the bluebells underplanted in the older areas of the gardens so please do explore when you’re visiting.
DON’T FORGET TO BRING CASH, most nurseries do not have card facilities. And for those of you who wish to stop the use of plastic bags, may I politely ask you to bring your own bags and help save the planet.
The fair takes place on the Conservatory lawn and admission to the fair is included in the usual garden admission cost of £4.00. Children are free. No dogs in the gardens please but welcome in the delightful parkland as long as they are on leads as there are sheep roaming.
