NESS HALL – Bank Holiday Monday 6 May 2019

This beautiful private garden looks stunning, at Ness Hall treasuresany time of the year, and for 2019 we are back in the spring time.  Harriette and her gardener, Alan, have lots of plans for the garden so until I visit them in April, I, too, am in the dark!

I do know that they have planted over 500 tulips for the May events over the years and continue to add to their bulb collections so you can be assured of spectacular planting and colour all around the garden.

With the unseasonal hot weather over Easter, I image that lots of the tulips might have “been and gone” by the time we hold the fair but never fear, this garden is a treasure trove of fabulous plants, shrubs and trees. You won’t be disappointed.

Plant nurseries attending include Lavender and Pinks, Brambling House Alpines and Salvias, Red Dial Nursery, Roanne Nurseries, Fayrefield Horticulture and Design,  Seeds To Sow, Through the Garden Gate, Ribblesdale Nurseries, The Herb Nursery, Stannard Plants, Garden Blooms, The Tiny Plant Company, Roanne Nursery, Northern Ark Nursery, Morton Nurseries Ltd and Summerfield Plant Nursery.

Garden accessories include Gardening with Wildlife, Alfresco Garden Design, Cornerstone Garden Furniture and Tuffnel Glass.

The plant fair will be held in the pony paddock beside the gardens and will be full to bursting with quality plants from some of my wonderful Yorkshire plant growers and specialists.  Home made refreshments are served from the family kitchen and a good time is had by all.

  • Admission £4.00 for the gardens and plant fair.
  • Children free.
  • Please leave your dogs at home for this plant fair.  The family have several dogs of their own so don’t encourage “strange dogs” into their gardens.
  • Open 11am – 4pm.
  • Ness Hall, East Ness, Nunnington YO62 5XD
