A wonderful estate to visit at any time of the year but late summer offers you beautiful views, a peaceful lake alive with lots of wild fowl, woodland and water gardens and a short sharp hike up to the top of the hill to look back down onto the Priory and Sutton Bank beyond. With over 40 acres of gardens and grounds to explore, you know it will be a great day out for all, including your dog.
The fair takes place on the North lawns looking down to the lake and the White Horse at Kilburn beyond and is always popular with the individual plant nurseries and specialists who attend. Home made yummy cakes and lovely sandwiches and hot quiches will be on sale throughout the day in the Priory Refectory Kitchen and for those of you who haven’t visited the Priory before, may I suggest a visit to the House too. Fascinating history and a delightful home.
