This is such a beautiful place to visit at any time of the year but if you want to escape the Bank Holiday crowds and come to a peaceful place then Newburgh offers you much. With over 40 acres of gardens and grounds to explore, you know it will be a great day out for all, including your dog.
The fair takes place on the Northern lawns looking down to the lake and the White Horse at Kilburn beyond and is always popular with the individual plant nurseries and specialists who attend. Home made yummy cakes and lovely sandwiches and hot quiches will be on sale throughout the day in the Priory Refectory Kitchen and for those of you who haven’t visited the Priory before, may I suggest a visit to the House too. Fascinating history and a delightful home.
There will be lots of colourful plant stands to tempt you with regulars Northern Ark Nursery from Northumberland, The Herb Nursery from Rutland, Brambling House Alpines & Salvias from Doncaster, Garden Blooms from Fishlake, South Yorkshire, Harespring Cottage Nursery from Alne, Roanne Nursery from Driffield, The Gatekeeper Nursery from Holme-on-Spalding Moor and Through the Garden Gate from East Yorkshire. We also have some new nurseries attending the fair too so I hope you will give them a warm welcome.
And as always we have some interesting garden accessories including Gardening with Wildlife with his ingenious new products (harvester spiders) and old favourites, Alfresco Design with windmills, garden ornaments and metal products and we welcome Leslie from BOHW Pottery who has been beavering away making all sorts of wonderful little pots and coloured containers.
