The Coronavirus and events
We had a very successful, safe and enhancing plant fair at Wynyard Hall on Sunday 19 July. All the nurseries provided the safest of transactions, not to mention displaying some wonderful plants and shrubs for sale.
All the plant nurseries and garden accessories were very excited to be back at work. Please be aware of your own health, wear a mask if you feel unsafe, but please leave the gloves at home. They carry more infections on them than your hands, and you can keep warming/sanitising your hands.
Payment can be made at some of the stands with a card, but most will still be dealing in that wonderful thing … CASH! So don’t forget to bring lots as I’m sure you will tempted (as I know I will). Safety precautions will be put in place to disinfect the cash.
The next plant fair will be Sandon Hall, Sandon, Staffordshire. We shall be holding the event at the front of the hall and there is a reduced entry of just £2.00 per person as the gardens will not be open. However, we have persuaded the head gardener to allow people to visit the “sleeping garden”. More details in next plant fair.
WE SHALL BE OPEN FROM 9am to 2pm. For those of you wishing to visit “the sleeping garden”, you can, with a voluntary donation please going towards a specialist tree to be planted to commemorate those who have lost their lives and the carers who have worked so hard.
And finally WE ARE BACK AT NEWBURGH PRIORY TOO! Bank Holiday Monday 31 August so make a note in your diaries now. More details to follow but we have 20 stands all champing at the bit.
Please keep in touch either via the website, my Facebook page (flowerpowerfairs), Twitter, Instagram or via phone/text 07730 859441.
Take care and keep on gardening.
